Tattersall Lander understands and promotes a healthy and safe working environment, and in keeping with this philosophy encourages staff to maintain a current First Aid Certificate. In November 2018 more than 50% of our staff undertook a First Aid and CPR Course, over a 3-week period.
In the past we have had an instructor come into the office and present the course on-site. However, with the retirement of trusted First Aider Barbara Folbigg, we decided to change our approach. Staff were sent off-site in smaller numbers, to ensure minimal disruptions to the operation of the business.
After some research I came across Aspire Training and Development. The team were very helpful and so accommodating. The reasons for choosing Aspire Training and Development over all of the other companies was that they were very comparable in price, and offered 2 convenient locations for our staff to attend. Half of Wildthing and Tattersall Lander’s staff live in the Newcastle/Lake Macquarie area, while the other half live in the Port Stephens/Hunter Valley. So those living south of the Hexham Bridge went to the Cardiff location, while those of us north went to East Maitland.
The staff thoroughly enjoyed their day, and look forward to renewing their CPR Certificate in 12 months time.
