Vegetation Management Plan
A Vegetation Management Plan (VMP) is a report intended to assist in the management of a development site in order to ensure that existing bushland elements on the site are protected from excessive disturbance. A VMP is required when a proposed development disturbs or substantially modifies the riparian corridor, there are a number of environmental constraints on a site or a high level of ecological values. A VMP must contain quantifiable goals and strategies detailing how the restoration or rehabilitation will be carried out within the development site and the ongoing management of the site. A VMP must be prepared by an Environmental Consultant or Bush Regenerator with experience in bushland restoration and management. Wildthing Environmental Consultants’ ecologists are experienced at providing VMPs tailored to the requirements of any project.
Wildlife Management Strategies
A Wildlife Management Strategy (WMS) is a report intended to assist in the management of wildlife that are present within a development site to ensure wildlife is protected from excessive disturbance. A WMS must contain detailed strategies and measures for managing wildlife, such as nest box instillation and monitoring programs, dewatering procedures for dams and hollow-bearing tree removal procedures. Wildthing Environmental Consultants’ ecologists are experienced at providing WMSs tailored to the requirements of any project.
